Wedding Preview: Tanner and Kate in Boise, Idaho

Last Monday we had the great joy of filming Tanner and Kate’s wedding in beautiful Boise, Idaho. We showed up to a nature reserve called Camelsback Park at 5:30 am where we met Tanner to begin the sunrise ceremony. Kate was waiting on the other side of the hill planning to meet tanner at the top. It was a surreal morning as the sun was breaking over the mountains and lighting up the hill side we were walking up. It was so exciting for everyone and a true blessing to be apart of such an intimate moment in their lives. Tanner was booming with joy and anticipation to see his bride and Kate looked stunningly beautiful in her homemade dress she made out of house curtains. Drew and myself were thrilled to capture this amazing moment.

They met at the top of the ridge and ascended to a meeting place with all their close family and friends. They sang worship songs together, everyone prayed for them, and Tanner and Kate exchanged their vows overlooking an amazing view of the city and surrounding mountains. It was truly beautiful.

Later in the early afternoon more family and friends met them at a nearby park for a picnic before the actual ceremony began.

The Ceremony was located on the other side the nature reserve at the bottom of the gulch. Behind tanner was a huge sign with all the places him and Kate had been prior to coming together to live and be married in the same city. It has been quite a journey for them up to this point. It was a wonderful ceremony and wonderful to capture.

Then following this everyone met back at the park for a bike rally over to the reception location. In preparation for this part of the wedding we hauled my tandem bike all the way to Idaho. It was a bit sketch as Drew drove and I filmed, but we managed to grab a few shots that made it all worth it.

We got to show our work at the end of the reception and was very sweet to see their day played back. Drew wrote the music for this movie and I think it fit them perfectly. We were so honored after the movie by their kind words and announcing our non-profit organization called the Halle Project to all their guest. It was amazingly generous of this couple to not only mention the non-profit side of our work, but the actually include the option for donations toward the Halle Project as part of their wedding registry.

Our hearts were filled with gratitude and thankfulness toward Tanner and Kate.

In the end of the day they both rode off on their bikes to a hotel down the street. It was an amazing day and we were so very thankful to be apart of all the amazing moments of their wedding day.

Tanner and Kate liked our style so much that they asked us to shoot the photos for them as well. Drew and myself had a sweet time covering the photos and we were very pleased with the way they turned out. We are now offering photos for couples that book us to make their movie.
